Pegasi are the shiz! 
Lol, well my original vision for this was a pegasus that looked like it was made from fire (flamey hair etc) but it ended up a little toned down. I think I spent a good day and a half on this with the only breaks between being dinner and sleep. 
So, this is the outcome. I wish I did more space-type backgrounds... I love doing stars and galaxies.

in the night sky it looks like burning - no flames needed
thou the mane and tail look like a hidden flame, ready to burst out... so magical
I think your pegasus' head and neck are a bit too big.. but we can always say that it's head is closer to the viewer, right?
